#233 - Sunday Supper

This was Brian's weekend to work so after church today the girls and I ate a few beans :) that I had simmered in the crock pot all night and then watched a movie and took a little nap!

We had a great service tonight and then we came home and ate some more beans. Then did our family devotional and now to get ready for the week! We're gonna start school next week and I've got to finish up a few things beforehand! This week is going to be busy, but I'm looking forward to us getting back into a routine of sorts. Well, kind of looking forward to it. :)

#218 - Saturday Treat

Holly has been begging me to get the stuff to make Oreo Truffles and today I finally picked up the ingredients. So I put the girls to work rollin' them out!

Of course a few went missing......

They turned out pretty yummy!!!

They're super easy to make too! I posted the recipe HERE.

I wanted to post this pic of our hydrangea flowers! They are my favorite and they last such a long time after I cut them. So pretty!

#190 - Polka Dot Toes

We've had a pretty laid back kind of day! We lounged around (slept late!), cleaned a little (not much:), made some tortilla soup (weird food choice for the summer I know), and then the girls and I swam (cleaned the pool) for a little while.

We did go to Walgreens to take back a movie to Redbox tonight and ran in to find some blue fingernail polish. Anna has her swim conference on Monday and we wanted to decorate for the occasion! Holly decided she wanted polka dots on her polish!

Looking forward to a relaxed Sunday! Also, excited for our VBS to start Monday!!!

#185 - A Few Pics From Our Weekend

I didn't get a chance to post these from Saturday. I'll catch up eventually :)

We went to Best Buy and got a couple of $3.99 movies and a new home for our new family member:
I couldn't decide on this sling or another backpack type. But I'm so glad I got this one. I LOVE it!!!

That night when the girls were swimming they found this baby frog in the pool. It was so tiny and cute!

#164 - Supper with Nana

This has been a wonderful Sunday. We had a young man to accept Christ during this morning's service and tonight we had a commissioning service for a few different mission teams.

As a bonus today, we had a nice afternoon nap and supper tonight at the Cracker Barrel with Nana:)

#147 - Friday Family Fun Night

Today was Brian's only full day off since last last Monday :) So he took the girls to lunch today while I was working and then when I got home we headed to eat some supper at Sonny's. Afterwards we played a round of putt putt.

For the record I was totally leading for the first 9 holes, but then Brian took the lead and I just kept getting worse :(

While we were there we practiced some batting at the cages and there may or may not be a video of me falling down while trying to hit a softball :/ (My flip flops may or may not have been wet.) I threatened Brian if he ever were to post that video that he may or may not have, then I'd unleash a really really funny one of him. :D Always gotta be prepared with cameras around here!
To round out our family fun night Brian and the girls got a treat at Chick-fil-A. I'm saving my milkshake money for a pedicure:D Haha - not really, I was just still full of bbq pork from Sonny's!

#141 - Hot Enough

Holly had a softball game this afternoon and the temps got hot enough that when we got home they jumped in the pool! It's been kind of like torture having the pool ready all week and temperatures in the 60's! The water was cold, but they didn't care!

#135 - Critters

Our weekend has been busy, but blessed. Today after church Anna helped me make tuna salad and then we rested! Our church services were wonderful and it is so nice to have Bro. Kenny back behind the pulpit. Our Associate Pastor does a wonderful job also!

Seems like our baby robins are getting really big, very quickly.

The mama robin still does not like us getting very near her babies!

Last night there was a toad on our carport and as I was trying to snap a picture and I caught him in action! I have never seen so many toads and frogs before. I guess it's from the wet spring we've had. I am beginning to feel like the Egyptians with that frog plague!

And tonight after church we took Brian a treat while he was working and as we were leaving a family of geese was crossing the road. The mama and 3 little ones went first and then the daddy with 1 baby, then they all just were waiting beside the road and then we saw another baby come flying across. It was the cutest thing ever!
It was almost like he was saying - "Wait for me!"

#134 - Showers

This morning Holly had her softball pictures super early and then played a game at 10:15 A.M. in the pouring rain! As long as it didn't lightning - they could still play:) She hasn't been able to play the last two make-up games because they've scheduled them on Wednesday nights.

Then after a quick nap this afternoon we headed to church for a baby shower!

So excited for Miss Abigail to be born to this preciously sweet Mama: Here is Sarah and Holly after Holly won one of the games.
Here was our gift for Sarah. We always like to give the necessities :) And instead of buying a gift bag, I buy a small laundry basket!

#93 - This-n-That

Our church worship and weather today were wonderful! Since it has been so cold this past week Holly's softball team had practice for a little while this afternoon.

She practiced at first base and she did a great job! She hit really good too!

After we got home the girls went outside to have a picnic and play with their dolls.

I have a praise! Our pastor was at church this morning (it'll be a few more weeks until he preaches though.) He had knee replacement surgery two and a half weeks ago and it was so good to see him. He has such a precious tender heart and we've missed him so very much.

#92 - Girls Day

The girls went with their Nana and Aunt Tracy today for a girls day! They went to eat with Tracy's son Jonathan and then they did some shopping and visiting with some family. The girls had so much fun and they loved getting to spend the day with Miss Bella too!

Brian was working so I was able to stay home and clean & get groceries - yay me! :0)

I made them do the obligatory "daily pic!" :)

The girls came home with prizes for me and their Daddy. They saw this sing-song doll that I have always loved and their Nana bought it for me! Ha! Every. Single. Time. I go to the toy section I hunt these little dolls/bears? out and make them sing! They brought Brian a bag of chocolates. :) It was very sweet of Nana to do that. She and Tracy also spoiled the girls with some goodies too! Anna found a dress from one of her first baby dolls and put it on "Lola!" Holly asked me if I was gonna sleep with my new toy tonight....hehe! So glad our girlies had a fun day! It was sunny and much warmer than it has been - we are so thankful spring may actually be showing it's pretty face.

#86 - Lazy Sunday

After having such a busy week it was very nice to just go to church worship yesterday morning and evening and have a sweet little nap in between :) Honestly, I didn't even take a picture yesterday! After taking approximately 3000 pictures (Vicki & Trent's wedding, Kelsey's golf signing, & St. Baldrick's) for the last week I thought I'd take a break...haha!

Also, I learned how to do texturing in Photoshop a couple of days ago and did this with the bridesmaids' bouquets from the wedding. I thought it turned out pretty neat!

We had a work day today. A wood work day :)

#36 - Super Sleuth

We've had a nice lazy Saturday. Earlier I told the girls to get dressed that we were gonna run to the grocery for a minute, Holly came downstairs in this outfit. :)

She told me after we got back that she and Anna were being super sleuths! Ha! They've been reading too many Nancy Drew books. :o)

Our dinner tonight consisted of homemade salsa and hanky panky dip (sausage/ground chuck/velveeta/salsa)!
