#152 - Beautiful Blessings

My sister has done some landscaping and came across a great deal on some flowers. She was tired of selling/watering/taking care of them so she brought me tons!!! We've been able to give some away, but our porch is still full of them. They are definitely a beautiful blessing to us! This morning I was looking out the back door and saw this butterfly going from flower to flower. It was so pretty. So I grabbed my camera and snapped a few before the lens fogged over in the hot air.

Our dear sister Christis went home today and we miss her already!

Tonight after church Nana brought the girls a surprise. A Wii game they had been wanting! They were very excited!
After tomorrow Brian will be off until the end of next week and we are looking forward to spending some family time together!!! So if I miss a post or two this weekend I'll catch up as soon as I can :D

Psalm 3:8
"Victory comes from you, O Lord.
May you bless your people."

#121 - Field of Peace

The girls and I stopped by the field of red clover flowers today and snapped a few pics. It had been raining all morning and after we had changed clothes after church we took Brian lunch it had stopped so we made an impromptu photo shoot!

Here are the flowers up close:

It really is a beautiful site to see!
Our girlies!

I never want to celebrate a wicked man's death, but after hearing the news that justice had been done for the victims and families from 9/11, I feel we need to give honor to our nation's servicemen that have tirelessly fought and defended our country. As long as men live in fleshly desires we'll never see peace here on earth, but if we have Jesus in our hearts then we have the hope of living in an eternity where there will be nothing but peace! Praise the Lord!!!

Romans 12:17-19
"Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord."

#118 - Red Flowers and Robin Eggs

I found a little surprise in my wreath that I hang off the front of our house:

But someone ^ wasn't too happy about me being anywhere near her precious possessions! She won't stop squawking at us anytime we go outside.

On our way to the grocery store this afternoon I drove past this field of the prettiest red flowers. Someone just commented on my picture I posted on FB and said that it was a type of clover that they plant to replenish the soil. The college in our town owns a lot of greenspace around our city and this is a field where they grow crops. It was lovely regardless of what kind of flower it is....of course this is coming from someone who thinks a dandelion is pretty and not so pesty :)

Psalm 103:15
"As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes."

#102 - Flowers and Couponing

Yesterday was our last day this semester for co-op. Anna had taken a class called, "Imagine That!" They had to come up with their own skits and perform them before the audience. I thought that they did a great job!

She could be a little actress!
Last night at Nina's church Melissa from Stockpiling Moms held an Advanced Couponing class. There was a huge turnout and we all learned a little more about couponing! If I could just get the basics down I'd be doing good :D I took a few pictures outside today. Well I was actually standing on the porch because it has not stopped raining all. day. long. I just love when the trees start to bloom! This is the first time that our lylac/butterfly bush has bloomed. I just love the smell of those!
Here are a few pictures of the dogwood blooms on the tree off of our side porch.

Song of Solomon 2:12
"Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land."

#31 - Monday

We went to co-op this morning and it seems like we've been running non-stop all day!

I caught Anna and Sissy leaving their paper crafting class and heading to their Imagine That class. :)

Looking forward to spring!
SO thankful we're going to dodge the blizzard bullet that is blanketing the areas all around us!

Psalm 37:3-4
"Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart."

Photoshop and Art!

Again I have neglected my blog. :(
Here is what we've been up to lately!
We have been loving on this little girl a whole big bunch!

I recently got Photoshop and I LOVE it!!!! Still have a lot to learn, but I do LOVE it!!!!

Our dear sweet friend/sister Christis Joy was with us last week so that she and Anna could go to the Mitchell Tolle watercolor workshop. They had a great week and I am so thankful for the opportunity for Anna to be a part of this class. She has learned so much from one of the world's greatest artist!

They held the workshop at a church out in the country and the little creek right beside the church is absolutely beautiful.

Mr. Tolle is such a godly man that has a passion for sharing the Gospel of Jesus! This relationship that he has with the Lord shines through in each and every piece of art that he creates.
This week Anna worked on a piece for Brian and me. She didn't let us see it until she had it finished........and here it is:

She painted it from the picture that Brian took at Martin's Station when he was studying with Don (Christis' dad) for the Heritage Ministries Daniel Boone tour.

Here is original the picture! We loved her work on it!

Mother's Day Weekend

Last week was a sad week. Brian's Aunt Lora passed away early Tuesday morning. They had her visitation on Thursday night and there was a LOT of people that came. At one point there was a line backed up all the way around the funeral home. Brian and I dropped the girls off at Nina's house while we went to the visitation. Her funeral was on Friday.
This is how I remember Lora. She was so beautiful and had such a funny personality. She would always come off with the funniest witty little comments!
She always made Larry these delicious low-fat sandwiches with the Pilsbury French Bread during his transplant. One time I called her to ask how in the world she rolled that bread out enough to make them and she just laughed so hard! There is a seam that you can unroll the entire piece of bread and I was trying to roll it out with a rolling pin!

Brian, Pam, and the girls after the funeral Friday.

Me, Pam, and the girls.
It was so hot on Friday afternoon when we got home so we let the girls take their first dip in the pool! But they didn't get to stay long because Holly had a make-up softball game.

Anna took these pictures for me! The Bees won 16-0 against the Sand Gnats!!!

Saturday they played again against the Scappers, but got beat 19-5. I had a yard sale Saturday so Brian took her to the game and Anna and I stayed at home to man the sale.

Suse came over and brought me these beautiful roses for Mother's Day and Anna picked this other pretty bouquet for me!

Sunday morning we went to church and then took Nana out for lunch for Mother's Day. When we got home we put together our new kites and headed down to the college to try our hand at flying them.
The one Brian was using kept taking right off. Holly got to fly it way high.

Anna got to fly that one high too.

I tried and tried to get this one up, but it never happened. We just didn't have enough wind and to be honest I ran out of wind running with that thing too!!

We had a great day and I am one truly blessed Momma!

I really don't deserve to be blessed with such a wonderful family! I am so very grateful to the Lord for loaning them to me though!!!
