Watoto Children's Choir from Uganda

At the beginning of April our church hosted the Watoto Children's Choir from Uganda!  It was such a blessing and we were able to host 3 of the boys and their "uncle."  

These children are amazing and they all have a true heart for Jesus!

The boy on the right was one of our boys that stayed with us.  His name is Steven.

This is Joshua and he's another one of our boys!

These boys were the most polite and precious boys we've ever been around!  So very sweet!  We wanted them to stay forever!  They traveled back through to sing at a church in Lexington a few weeks after they were at Bethel and we drove up so we could see them again.  They were in the United States for 6 months and will go back home to Uganda at the beginning of July.

Christmas Play 2012

The girls were part of our Christmas play at church this past week.  Holly was the main character and the mom of three little boys and she did a great job!

Dad and Jan came to watch the girlies!  Nana, Amber, Bella, & Harper also were there, but they left before I could get a picture.

What We've Been Doing This Fall

We have had a very busy, but very blessed fall season!  I've been blessed to take some photos for several families and that has kept me super busy too. :)

The girls and I went with Brian before he went to work at 5:30 a.m. to vote!  I was the first one in our district to vote. :)

Then we had our traditional pancake breakfast.  Then went back to bed. :o)

The girls' youth group have been gathering items for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for the past year.  A few Saturdays ago they met and put them all together.  I think by the time they finished the total number of boxes sent from our church was 110!!!

We got to babysit a couple of cute little boys from our church a week or two ago and the girls got out their Playdoh.  Needless to say they kept is out for a day or two after and played a little more. :)

Brian's been busy gathering wood and he did a chimney sweep to get it all ready for winter!

The girls attempted to rake leaves, but our neighbors just wanted to play.  Ha!

I saw this idea on Pinterest and I loved it!  The only thing is I couldn't use the sand paper I bought (too coarse) so I ended up cutting the sides from the box and hot gluing them on the top of the lid.

At WM the other day I made Anna pretend like she wanted this for Christmas. :(

VBS Week

We've had Vacation Bible School this week at our church and it's been a lot of fun!!! On Tuesday it was my turn to teach and Anna helped me with my scripture poster! :)

Kentucky Prayer Caucus - A Call to Prayer

We went to our State's Capitol today for the Kentucky Prayer Caucus - A Call to Prayer. It was a time to bring the state legislators together to sign a proclamation. It was very encouraging to see many of our Senators and Representatives sign this document and attend this service.

This huge quilt is on display when you first enter the building. It shows all of the counties in Kentucky.

There was a pre-session that brought out many legislators.

Hopefully they will pass bills into laws that will honor and glorify God!!!

#338 - Snow & Stockings

We had a little shower of snow today!!! Not enough to get too excited about, but enough for Holly to try & catch!

And tonight at church our missions class put together stockings for some nursing home patients. We're going to take them next week!

#279 - 280 - Rounding Out the Week

Tonight was our last night of revival and it has been quite a revealing week! As believers we must truly die to self daily and let Christ live through us. It is much easier said than done, because of this rotten flesh that we live in. But with His grace and mercy we can do it!

Bro. Kenny wanted me to take a picture of Bro. Butch after church so I snapped a few of the girls and Brian as we were waiting. We're planning on having a pretty laid back weekend and maybe get a few fall pictures of the girls in too. We'll see. :)

#278 - Wednesday Revival

Tonight was the fourth night of our revival and the last night Bro. Bill Stafford was scheduled to be with us. We'll have another evangelist tomorrow and Friday night. We've had a great week so far and I'm excited about what God has in store for us. We're praying for a revival for our whole entire city that will spread across the state and nation! This country needs another great awakening!

#261 - Family Fun Day

Our church held a Family Fun Day today at a park close to our church. It was so much fun! There was tons of games, puppets, fellowship, and of course yummy food!

Holly won a medal for the hoola hoop contest and she also got to enjoy a ride in a wheelbarrow!

It was a great day and the rain held off to make the weather near perfect! Now to get ready for a (kind of:) busy week!

#219 - A Blessing & A Baptism

We went over to visit with Brian's g-father this afternoon. He is always in such good spirits! Even while laying there with a crushed hip and in pain he was still just his usual sweet self! He is such a blessing. :)

And tonight we had a baptism and that is very sweet too!

#196 - Sad To See It End!

Tonight was the last night of VBS and we're kind of sad to see it end. It was a fun week and the way our VBS is ran makes it so much easier on everybody so that the jobs/duties are spread out enough so it's not so tiresome. We can enjoy it a little better this way!

#195 - Bible School & Bella

Since I hadn't taken a picture of Anna at VBS I thought I'd catch her off guard tonight and snap one:)

Pam and Bella came over to visit us tonight and she found the box of styrofoam peanuts that I hadn't gotten rid of yet. She had a good time!
