Molly Ray - Our Newest Family Member

The week after Jerry passed we added a new member to our family. :)
The girls have always wanted a puppy and so we began to pray about it.
Brian's cousin's Scottie Terrier, Nellie, had some puppies that were too cute.  So the girls and I went to see them one afternoon while Brian was at work.  Needless to say that we fell in love immediately!  So when Brian got home from work we went to get our sweet little Molly.
She is actually half Mini Schnauzer and half Scottie!
We had to take her to Pet Smart after we picked her up to get her necessities!

Isn't she cute?!
The girls discovered that she can wear their Build-a-Bear clothes. :)
Poor Brian has another lady in the house!  I don't think he minds though.  He's pretty smitten with her too!

This was after her first puppy cut!  It wiped her out.
She turned 16 weeks old today and we feel like she has always been a part of our family!

Our Christmas Card

After years of just buying cards and 4x6 photos separately to send out to family and friends, I finally got into the photo card thing!

Of course I couldn't just pick one picture to use! :o)
We want to wish you a very Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Isaiah 9:6
"For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

#335 - Some Pretty & Sweet Kiddos

My good friend Stacey asked if I'd snap some pictures of her {most adorable} kids and of course I said YES!
Her only request was if we could get them all looking at the camera with smiles. This was the best we could do ^^^! :) The girls helped me get their attention and we ended up with some really cute ones! I'll have to share more later when I have more time.

John 10:14-15
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep."

#331 - Photos of the Addingtons!

We had such a great time when Vicki, Trent, & Aidan stayed with us last weekend! We can't wait for them to come back and see us again! She had asked me to take some pictures for them for Christmas, so we ventured out Friday to snap a few. :)
Aidan might have been bribed with a giant sucker that they got at Cracker Barrel for all of these great cheeses he was giving us!
Isn't he just darling?! We got to get lots of love from this sweet boy!Love his face in this one!Precious little family! My all time favorite! I called this my money shot of the day. :)
And here is his reward! "Cheese for a sucker!" was what he said during almost every picture and it paid off!
So happy for Vicki and the path that God has her on. Their little family have a heart for God and I just know that He has great plans for them. We miss them so much, so don't be surprised if we make a trip to Atlanta in the near future. :)
I'm also happy that they started a blog!!! Here is the link:

#311 - The Final Product

Remember back in the summer when "I shot the Sheriff"?
They used that picture for their 2012 calendar!
We tried to get Brian's dad to stand to the side, but he just wanted to blend in. He is 3rd from the right in the second row.

Exodus 14:14
"The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

#281 - 282 - A Weekend of Pictures..... Literally

We've had a very blessed weekend - in pictures that is!

Saturday the girls and I went over to Erica's house to snap a few pictures of her and the kiddos.
Then today the girls and I had our annual fall photoshoot!

Here is a preview:

These next two were strictly for fun!

Pucker up, Holly!
Watch out, Anna!

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction,
That you may be wise in your latter days.
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand."

#263 - An Impromptu Photoshoot

We were able to keep Bella this afternoon and the girls took her outside to play so I just grabbed my camera and had a little photoshoot with her. :)
She didn't care much for Jonathan (the girls' name for our neighbor's horse.)

Most of my pictures look like this ^ With her either running away or to us!

But we did manage to get a few good ones. :)

Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it."

#199 - The Evidence!

On Sunday when I was taking pictures of the Sheriff's Department, Anna was also taking pictures. :) So she also got evidence of me "shooting" the Sheriff and his Deputies! Ha!

I hadn't uploaded her pictures until this morning and saw this one in there. She also got some good ones at the cookout. I might have to seriously hire her!

Isaiah 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’"

#198 - I Shot the Sheriff!

Brian's dad asked me a few weeks ago to come to a cookout today and take pictures of the Sheriff's department. We took a group picture with all of the deputies and staff and then some individual pictures also. It was a fun day and I got some great experience! (Even though I was super nervous!)

Here is Sheriff Poppy and his girls!

Romans 13:1-3
"Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same."

#197 - Anniversary for Friends

Anna and I went to a 25th Wedding Anniversary cookout for some good friends of ours. Their sweet daughter asked me to come and take pictures for their surprise party. So I brought along my helper! :)

She used my other camera to help take some backup shots. She did a pretty good job too!

Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to take some pics of our Sheriff's department for my father-in-law!

A little nervous, I am.

Also, our best friends and their kiddos are leaving in the morning for a mission trip to Guatemala! Can't wait to see what all God's got in store for their time there!
Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

#193 - My Attempt at Tilt Shift Photography!

The girls and I went to VBS tonight and had a great time! I didn't take my camera in, but I hope to tomorrow night.
I heard about tilt shift photography a while back and looked up a tutorial of how to do the editing. It is where you take a photo and make the illusion that it is a miniature scene.

Here is one of the locks at the Panama canal. This is the first one that I did:
This one was taken last fall in Plymouth Harbor, MA. Do the boats look mini?!My sister-in-law took the next two in Belgium and I thought they were perfect scenes to "tilt shift!"

This last one she took in Morocco.

Can you see the effect??? I think it looks neat and puts a little different perspective on the editing process.
James 1:17
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
