Election Day Traditions

Each election day we get up around 5:30 A.M., throw on some clothes, and head to the polling place to stand in line for about 15 minutes until they open the doors. Then we exercise our right to vote for the individual that we feel should be holding a public office. Of course, we are all accountable to God for not only IF we vote, but also WHO we vote for!

Here are the girls after we got back home from voting.
*Please note that the sun still hasn't risen at this time.

Our election day tradition includes stopping by Mickey D's on the way home to pick up some pancakes!

Then directly after our pancake celebration we all go to my bed and take a nap! :D

We got to keep Bella again on Tuesday night, so today on our way to take her home we stopped by to see the new sheriff! :D

Here is Poppy and his grand-girls!

My kids used to go in the voting booth with me...and they are both politically-minded now. I loved letting them be a part of it at a young age.

I am SOOOOO happy for your father-in-law. We need good men and women serving in our elected offices!

What a great tradition to have with your kids and to teach them the importance of voting!
