#183 - New Family Member

Wanna know why Anna is jumping for joy?
Because she has a new sister :) haha!
I've been SO excited for this to come in the mail and it arrived today!!!
It is my early 15th Anniversary present :D My other Canon XTi dSLR has been an excellent camera and still does pretty good even after taking over 75,000(!) photos with it. But, my lens that came with it has been messing up for awhile so we thought instead of just buying a lens that we'd just upgrade the camera and get the lens with it. I've been taking a lot of pictures for different friends and family so it'll be fun to experiment some more with my new Canon 60D!!!
Here was the "official" first photo that I took with it:
I had the images set on LARGE format, so the they are almost too big to upload on blogger. All of these are straight out of the camera - no editing.
Brian created a small golf course in our backyard. One of our apple trees fell down a few weeks ago and he made a putting green out of the area beside it and then mowed a "fairway" down to it.

He was working on helping Holly's swing.
:D
Nunu and me.
I don't think I ever posted a final (almost: still need that one board) photo of our pool/deck/landscaping. (I was taking pictures of everything in our yard tonight...can you tell?) I used my 50mm/1.8 lens to take these two pics.

Have a blessed Independance Day weekend!!! I'm sure I'll have lots of photos to share from our cookouts this weekend!

"I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts."

I have to say, I think I stopped breathing when I read blogger's summary of your post.
Congratulations on the new camera; the pictures are lovely.

Congratulations on the new camera. I still have one on my wish list. Maybe one day I will get it. Love the pictures of the flowers. Can't wait to see all the pictures you take.

Good pics! I'm looking for a new camera and we're looking at a Cannon because that's what my little point and shoot is and it takes great pictures.

I'm not really a photographer, but I take an awful lot of pictures!
