#166 - Holly's Official Softball Picture & A Small Issue

Every year when softball picture time rolls around I always say - I'm not going to buy them this year. But yet I always get suckered into it. I've never been a fan of the quality of these pics, but oh well - $25 bucks later we have a picture and a group picture of her team. When I was young and in the youth league they took the pictures outside and they were always so much nicer. More realistic.

Anyway.....here is this year's "official" softball picture:

Let's just say I'm glad I take plenty of outside pictures during the year :)

I know I was a day late in posting this one and I'll post another one later on tonight. Tuesday evening we attended a forum held by our city council on the issue of them proposing a "fairness ordinance," which we do not agree with. We have a nice quaint little dry college town and in my opinion this would open up a HUGE can of worms. Aside from the principle issues that I don't agree with, it would not hold any boundaries for what should be protected as far as discrimination goes. Today it's about lifestyle CHOICES, but how can you include one group and not all the other ones. It just goes to show how this society is becoming more of a - "I want what I want when I want it" (Don Pinson) mentality. Lord, please allow eyes to be opened and not blinded and let your Truth be known to all!

Romans 1:26-27
"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

Our county was dry until about a year or two ago. People always think that kind of change is good. I think if something doesn't bless God...then we should probably avoid it.
