#48 - Donna

My best friend's mother-in-law went home be with Jesus today. Donna was an absolutely precious godly woman that loved everyone she met. I would've loved to have seen her face as she looked at her Savior today!
She has battled cancer on and off for the past 5 years and told me often, "Jenn, I just don't think God is finished with me yet here on this earth!" She was right because everytime she said that she would regain strength and battle on. Even this afternoon as she took her last breath her testimony and witness was so strong and evident and will continue to be as long as time stands. She will be greatly missed, but because of the hope we have in Jesus there will be a great reunion in heaven one of these days!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

#47 - Mama's Grave

Well taxes are done and we're pretty satisfied with the results. All of that prep work payed off.
The lady that does our taxes is in the same county where my Mama is buried, so we always stop by on our way through. Her grandparents lived a few miles from this spot and she wanted to be buried with them. She had good memories of being at their house when she was a little girl and had always talked about being buried in Birch Lick.
It is beautiful up on that hill!
It is so hard to believe she'll be gone 8 years this April. I miss her like crazy!

I've always loved this church at the bottom of the valley too.

Psalm 23:4
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
