#228 - Swimmy Day

The girls and I decided it would be a great day for the pool. So much for cleaning the classroom today :) Nina, Sissy, & Eli came and joined us and we had a great afternoon! It was great catching up with Nina and enjoying the warm and not so super hot weather. Sissy is gonna stay with us and have a little sleepover!
Loving these August nights!

Isaiah 18:4
"For so the LORD said to me,
“ I will take My rest,
And I will look from My dwelling place
Like clear heat in sunshine,
Like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”

#157 & 158 - Swimming, Softball, & A Jeep Ride

I'm trying to catch up with my posts since our weekend adventures! We've had a busy week so far this week too! Monday after Anna's swim practice Nina, Sissy, & Eli came over to swim for the afternoon.

Bella came to watch Holly play ball. She was cheering for her - "Ahhhhhh, Hawwwwweeee!" So cute!

It was her last regular season game and the tournament starts this weekend!

This afternoon we took the roof off of Brian's Jeep and went for a little ride! It was around 95 degrees and with the sun beaming down the wind felt good!

We stopped by Hastings to pick up Holly's Babymouse book that we ordered. She was a happy girlie!

She read it within 10 minutes of it being in her possession!

Tonight we played some more ladder ball and set a few fireworks off.

I told Brian it looks like he was setting off a small atomic bomb when he lit this "lightning firework"!

A few pictures of the girls with some sparklers!

Can't wait until Independance Day!!!

We've had 2 great nephews and 1 great niece born within the last month! I'll be posting some pics tomorrow!

from everlasting to everlasting you are God."

#141 - Hot Enough

Holly had a softball game this afternoon and the temps got hot enough that when we got home they jumped in the pool! It's been kind of like torture having the pool ready all week and temperatures in the 60's! The water was cold, but they didn't care!

Matthew 24:36
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

#131 - Swimmy Swimmer

After yesterday's swim team practice Anna wasn't sure she liked it all that well. But today was a different story! Since this is her first year and all of the swim strokes are new to her, they had a coach work with her one on one for a little while today. She felt much better and enjoyed it! Here she is in the last lane with one of her coaches instructing her. :)

In other pool news.....
We got the deck complete! Or I should say that Brian did most of the work and I just assisted. :) There was one board at the very end that was warped and it ended up breaking (after not being submissive:). We'll get a new one and it'll be done....for now! The girls and I started cleaning out the pool and then Brian finished it and started filling it up!!! So we should have a full pool by this weekend - when temps will be in the 60's! Yay! :0/

Tomorrow we were invited to be part of a Living History event at the Battle of Richmond Civil War site. The girls will take part in the one room schoolhouse. I'll have plenty of pictures to share tomorrow night! Have a great Thursday!

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
"And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints."

#130 - A New Baby

My niece in Texas had her baby boy today! We've been gone almost all day and we've been praying for her, so tonight when we got home it was so good to see this little face on facebook! Can't wait to see him in person :)

Introducing Sebastian!

Congratulations - he is so precious!!! We love you all!

Yesterday, when Brian and I decided that we'd build a small deck on the edge of our pool as a starting spot this is what we visioned:
I called it the world's smallest deck. :) It is a 4x4. After doing some calculations on steps we figured that we could just go ahead and build another (slightly larger) deck in place of building steps. Hehe! So now our world's smallest deck has a larger buddy beside of him.

These pics were taken late with hardly any sunlight, so they're a little blurry.
We are excited! The pool is almost drained and we should be able to start cleaning it tomorrow!

In other news - we signed Anna up for the swim team in town. She was pretty worn out tonight after swimming back and forth for an hour and a half! Then we headed to our city hall/municipal building to attend a hearing to oppose a fairness ordinance that they are thinking about passing. It's been an eventful, but very blessed day!

Jeremiah 1:5
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
